Nations Trust Bank American Express partnered with the George Keyt Foundation for the ninth consecutive year to host ‘Sri Lankan Art 2019,’ an exhibition and sale of contemporary Sri Lankan art.
Through this partnership, Nations Trust Bank is looking to support and promote local artists and provide them with a platform to reach out to a wider audience and continue to express themselves through their unique works of art.
The ‘Sri Lankan Art 2019’ exhibition will be held from 6 to 10 November at the JDA Perera Galleries located at the University of Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo 7.
Speaking about the partnership and the event, Nations Trust Bank Deputy Chief Executive Officer Priyantha Talwatte said: “We are proud to have partnered with the George Keyt Foundation for the ninth consecutive year to host ‘Sri Lankan Art 2019’, a platform for Sri Lanka’s artists to showcase their work, share ideas and grow as a community. Our Cardmembers share a passion for art and through this partnership we can provide a platform for artists and those who appreciate fine art to interact. Art also promotes empathy; the ability to see things from others’ perspectives. This is something we value and cultivate at Nations Trust Bank, because it’s only through understanding things from the perspective of our Cardmembers that we can hope to create unparalleled customer experiences.”
