Science fiction action comedy “Borderlands” in 11 cinemas from today

American science fiction action comedy film “Boderlands” will be shown in 11 cinemas in Sri Lanka from today.

They are Scope Cinemas – Colombo City Centre, Scope Cinemas – Havelock City Mall, Liberty Cinemas – Kollupitiya, Liberty Cinemas – Kiribathgoda, PVR Cinemas, Kandy City Centre, Milano Diamond, Lite Cinemas, Majestic SUPERIOR, Majestic GOLD and Regal Cinemas.

Directed by Eli Roth, who co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Crombie, “Boderlands” is based on the video game series developed by Gearbox Software. Starring an ensemble cast featuring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Edgar Ramírez, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon, and Jamie Lee Curtis, its plot follows Lillith (Blanchett), an infamous outlaw who returns to the place where she grew up and forms an alliance with a team of misfits to find the missing daughter of the most powerful man in the universe.

Returning to her home planet Pandora, an infamous bounty hunter forms an unexpected alliance with a ragtag team of misfits. Together, they battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets.
