‘Unleashed’ on 30 March at CR&FC to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema

Five sensational Indian singers will be taking stage in Colombo next week to celebrate 100 years of Indian cinema.

The artists are Sid Sriram, Andrea Jeremiah, Nikhita Gandhi, Abhay Jodhpurkar and Sathya Prakash who will all be seen together on the same stage for the first time ever, along with Anil Srinivasan and his band. The show will also include a special performance by Lankan homeboy Sanka Dineth.

In a press conference held earlier this week Srinivasan said, “An instrumental interlude of 15 to 20 minutes will be played with parts from the most popular songs of each year from the past 100 years.” 

“With the hopes of giving Sri Lanka a true taste of Indian culture, ‘Unleashed’ will include an exhilarating combination of music from both Bollywood and Kollywood and a tasteful mixture of Classic and Modern music.”

This concert that was brought to life with the intention of celebrating the birth of Indian Cinema will entirely be dedicated to the memory of late veteran actress Sridevi.

The concert is scheduled to be held on 30 March from 7 p.m. onwards at the CR & FC grounds.

Tickets will be priced at Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000, Rs. 5,999, Rs. 2,999, and Rs. 1,499 under the categories of MIP, VIP, Gold, Silver, and Bronze respectively and can be purchased via ticketslk.com.
