Barista introduces mobile app for Android and iOS users

In another pioneering venture, industry leader in the café culture in Sri Lanka Barista Lavazza recently launched its dedicated mobile app for all Android and iOS users. This mobile platform is the first-of-its-kind for a coffee house/café in the island. Speaking on the launch, Barista Lavazza Brand Manager Lien Keerthisinghe said: “The Barista mobile app is as simple and easy as it gets. Barista has always set standards in the coffee industry in Sri Lanka and the launch of the mobile app we believe raises the bar another notch. Our app is indeed unique for a quick service restaurant because it is built on customer preferences and we are simply giving our loyal clientele all the more reason to visit us and enjoy everything we have on offer.” One of the unique areas of the Barista Lavazza mobile app is the deals on offer. Ongoing discounts, promotions and one-to-one offers take centre stage on the app as Barista Lavazza is attempting to drive benefits to their customers. The app has the ability to send out pop-up notifications of periodical offers while also enabling push messaging facilities with special deals, so that customers never miss out on what is being offered to them. A special geo target messaging capability ensures that customers within a designated radius of a Barista outlet are immediately informed of special deals at the outlet closest to them. Another important feature of the Barista Lavazza mobile app is the frequency monitor that rewards customers for their loyalty. Periodically Barista will offer a product from their extensive range of food and beverages on the frequency monitor, and customers have the ability of ticking off three purchases and receiving the fourth one absolutely free. What makes it even better is that the offer can be claimed in a single purchase as well. Once a round is complete, the monitor will reset itself allowing customers a literally unlimited purchasing opportunity of their favourite Barista meal or drink. The mobile app also features a favourites list for those who simply cannot make up their minds on what to pick to eat and drink. It is also integrated with the Barista Lavazza Sri Lanka Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages for the social media enthusiasts. A listing of all outlets makes it easy for customers to find the barista closest to their location, while an inquiry form page encourages customers to keep in touch with their favourite coffee house.
