Viber – the leading mobile communications app offering free messaging and HD-quality calls announced recently that Bathiya N Santhush, popularly known as BNS, have joined Viber Public Chats. Fans can now download the free Viber app and follow BNS – Sri Lanka’s leading pop, rap and ethnic fusion music duo – to get sneak peek into their day to day lives including details of shows, concerts, new releases and albums.
BNS started their musical journey in 1998. Mixing Sinhala, Tamil and English lyrics in their originals and utilising Hindi language in remixes brought out their much loved contemporary style. They have released nearly eight albums and have had over 25 Sri Lankan No. 1 singles. BNS’s concerts are the most popular in the Sri Lankan music arena. They have performed in over 600 concerts in Sri Lanka and overseas. In 2008, BNS marked the end of their tremendously popular ‘Neththara Live’ concert series after over 120 performances. Thereafter, Neththara Live was replaced with a brand new concert series ‘Shaheena’ named after their first single in 2008. The current concert series ‘Sara Sihina’ is their fifth and is named after their 2010 release. Bathiya and Santhush are the only Sri Lankan artistes to feature with popular Indian singers Hariharan (Yaalpanamen) and Asha Bhosle (Dedunna Sedi).
