Cinnamon Grand’s New Year’s Eve with PLATINUM Abba and Beatlemania a grand success!

“Such a lovely audience, we’d love to take you home”… sang Beatlemania – The Ultimate Beatles Concert Experience at Cinnamon Grand’s New Year’s Eve dinner party, where they entertained over 500 guests alongside PLATINUM – The Live Abba Tribute Show.

The hotel, known for its trendsetting introductions to the hospitality scene ushered in the New Year with a first for the country – two UK-based bands sharing one stage in Sri Lanka. Brought down by the hotel to give their loyal patrons a unique opportunity to say goodbye to 2016 and welcome 2017 in style, the event was a sold-out hit, with the crowd partying till dawn to hits from the ’70s.“We just want to thank you for the best New Year,” said the girls from PLATINUM – The Live Abba Tribute Show, “We had such a good time! PLATINUM – The Live Abba Tribute Band is considered the best tribute band for the ’70s pop group ABBA and has established themselves in the super-league of tribute entertainment. The UK-based PLATINUM has toured the world, and has recorded with some of the biggest names in show biz such as The Who, Iron Maiden and Jethro Tull and performed for the Jordanian Royal Family, Gucci, Renault F1 Team, British Airways among many others

Beatlemania, which delivered an Ultimate Beatles concert experience, were formed in the summer of 1992, quickly built up a huge following and since then have gained such a high reputation on the tribute scene that they are constantly in demand internationally. Beatlemania’s celebrity client list includes, David and Victoria Beckham, Sir Richard Branson, Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Tiger Woods, and numerous TV and soap stars.
