Sri Lanka’s Lifestyle station E FM is not just making the local radio industry more exciting and innovative on the air, it is in fact enhancing radio’s effects on the real world also, by pioneering high-quality, high-value partnerships that have a direct, on the-ground impact for various communities.
For instance, one of the more fun upcoming events presented by E FM, together with Ceylon Tours, is the highly-anticipated “Best of the 60, since the 60’s!” retrospective.
To be held on 1 October at 7 p.m., at the Museaus College Auditorium, this very entertaining show, headlined by Sri Lanka’s Rock-a-billy king Indraraj of the Jetliners, will remove all your inhibitions and allow you groove to the greatest hits of the 1960s. Also adding to the spectacle, this show will feature very talented Elvis Presley sound-alike Pete Roth as well as Cliff Richard impersonator Dave Roberts.
Also, continuing its engagement with younger fans, E FM recently completed a high-profile sponsorship promoting the EDEX Mid-Year Expo 2016, one of Sri Lanka’s premier education exhibitions, where youth are provided with an overwhelming number of opportunities for their future. Showcasing 150 stalls, occupied by over 100 universities, both local and foreign, from 12 countries, the Mid-Year Expo is the best place to go for scholarships, both partial and full, along with even discounted course fees as well as many, many more benefits offered, all of which is on biggest draws, which include placements on offer, and spot admissions for various disciplines.
This year’s EDEX Job Fair also featured 30 specialist stalls manned by sought-after corporates hoping to attract qualified individuals with desirable personal skills and other pre-requisites. Adding further weight to an already important event, this nationally important expo was endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education and Highways, State Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Labour and Trade Union Relations, Ministry of Mahaweli Development and Environment and Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training, with strategic partners such as the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon (EFC).
Additionally, E FM recently pioneered tech news reporting in local radio. Signing up with well-known technology news website ReadMe.lk, E FM currently airs a primetime Tech News segment on E FM’s highly-respected Live @ E news program. Founded in 2012, ReadMe.lk has gained popularity in the IT industry for providing unbiased news based on tech developments in Sri Lanka and across Asia. Ranging from hardware reviews to event coverage, which includes conferences and hackathons to opinion pieces about the tech and ICT industry, ReadMe.lk continues to be at the forefront of tech news, offering latest info about Sri Lanka’s fast moving tech scene.
