E FM launches all-new programming line-up

This November, join Sri Lanka’s Lifestyle station E FM as it continues on a trailblazing journey to evolve the landscape of local radio. Spearheaded by one of the most anticipated reunions in local radio history, two of the biggest names in local entertainment, Shaq and Mark Kross, re-unite after eight long years apart. The all-new E FM ‘Morning Showgram with Shaq and Mark’ is on-air daily from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., truly the gold standard of content. 1

Pioneering some of the most iconic moments in Sri Lankan radio, like ‘The Longest Radio Show’, an 89 Hour Marathon radio broadcast, which only they could ever complete successfully, in 2004; they were also the first to broadcast, ‘Live’ from Barbados, West Indies. ‘Shaq and Mark’ mark their triumphant return with a new era offering a healthy dose of nostalgia, together with many prizes and surprises, coupled with celebrity guest appearances and exclusive social events.

And that’s not all, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., E FM listeners will continue to be entertained with ‘Divas on E’ with Dana, highlighting the lifestyles of busy Sri Lankan women, encompassing many a varied content, from limbering up on a yoga mat, to finding tips on getting the kids ready for school quicker, as well as even learning the art of keynoting a conference and the basics about interior design, to name just a few of the topics on offer. 

Taking over next is Diamond Deen and Chrissy, who now take charge of the E FM ‘PM Crunch’, daily between 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Listeners can look forward to a great mix of music, surprise office treats, after-work hangouts, happy hour deals, household tips and cookery demonstrations, quiz programs and most importantly, their trademark humour. 

With an all new evening drive time slot, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., E FM unveils its marquee ‘Alive at 5 with Gem and Bless’, which brings together two of radio’s most creative and vibrant personalities. Known for his unique humour, Gem touts his own unique abilities, mixed with Blessie’s like-minded flair for the offbeat and unconventional. Be prepared for Gem to break in and out of a variety of accents and radio acrobatics, which will surely leave listeners in fits of laughter. ‘Alive at 5’ is also the new home for Gem’s infamous ‘Prank Calls’ segment. 

Topping it all off in true Sri Lankan style, E FM continues its innovative programming schedule with ‘The Local Spin with Damian’, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. ‘The Local Spin’ on E FM not only provides local artist a platform to realise their dreams, by featuring their own creations; it also benefits them with the kind of exposure they need to become household names in the music industry in Sri Lanka. The program also goes beyond music only, spotlighting Sri Lankan entrepreneurs, celebrity chefs, and anyone Sri Lankan worth talking about.
