This weekend expect a riot of activity as the thespians of Royal College Colombo prepare to set sail on a journey that will take you ‘Around the World in 80 Days’.
Ideal for children and adults of all ages the play showcases the travels of Phileas Fogg alongside his trusted counterpart Passepartout as they attempt to circumnavigate the globe in less than three months.
Bringing to life this magical creation of Jules Verne was no easy task, but under the watchful eye of Director Thushara Hettihamu the thespians of Royal College Colombo have made this dream into a reality.
In less than two hours theatregoers will be treated to a whirlwind journey across the globe as Fogg encounters audacious elephants, express steamers and jostling Red Indians.
For a dose of laughter, fun and excitement do not miss this production that has never been staged in Sri Lanka before that promises to extend the boundaries of local physical theatre to new reaches…
