A three-day exhibition will be held at the J.R. Jayawardene Memorial Centre, Colombo 7 highlighting the splendour of Japan including a photographic display depicting breathtaking locations in Japan.
The exhibition, being held from 16 to 17 December, has been organised by Telak Extea and Nicey Travels to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Nicey International which has been working in association with Japan for a long period of time.
The photographic exhibition will showcase picturesque shots of Japan clicked by renowned photographer Sandun Gamage who toured Japan recently on this mission sponsored by Nicey International.
The programme will also be spiced with a tea ceremony at the venue, organised by Nicey International.
The tea will be served to the guests by Japan’s Miss Sake pageant winner and Japan’s Miss Universe finalist Mai Morita. In addition the programme will include a sushi corner, bonsai tree display, origami techniques, kimono dressing and the playing of Japanese drums. The exhibition will be declared open at 3 p.m. on 16 December and will be open for the public on 17 and 18 December from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
