01The Board of Social Responsibility (BSR) of the Mt. Lavinia Methodist Church is organising a ‘Sing along with Rukshan Perera’ on Saturday 22 April at Palm Beach Hotel Mount Lavinia to collect much needed funds for their social service and charity projects. The work of the BSR encompasses welfare, development, awareness-raising/sensitising and evangelistic work among both church members and persons in the wider community.

Rukshan Perera the well known singer, composer, song writer and lyricist will be conducting this sing along with the backing of his Brother Melantha and his band ‘SIGN’. After a long stint in the USA he came back to Sri Lanka and has been conducting his own concerts during the past few years to raise funds for charity projects.

Melantha who was with the band Mirage for more than 25 years has his own music school ‘Riversheen School of Music’ in Moratuwa and has formed his own band ‘SIGN’. Music lovers are in for a treat with the two brothers performing on one stage and could sing along with them. Tickets are available at Torana Liberty Plaza and Palm Beach Hotel Mount Lavinia.
