‘Power Rangers’ in 10 Lankan cinemas from today

American superhero film ‘Power Rangers’ will be released today in the following cinemas: Liberty Lite – Colombo 3D; Vista Lite – Ja-Ela 3D; Sky Lite – Matara 3D; Savoy – Colombo 3D; Excel – Colombo 3D; Sky Lite – Malabe 3D; Cinemax – Ja-Ela 3D; Arena – Katugastota 3D; Minerva – Kalutara 3D; Savoy Premier – Colombo 3D.

It is the third film of the Power Rangers film franchise, and is a reboot that features the main characters of the original Power Rangers television series, portrayed by a new cast. The film stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin, Bill Hader, Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks. In the film, Zordon recruits five high school students to form a team that must stop an alien threat led by the witch Rita Repulsa.

Five ordinary teens must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
