Trinity College London Sri Lanka Centre top scorers’ Concert and Prize Giving in Music, Speech and D

The Sri Lanka Centre for Trinity College London held its top scorers’ Concert and Prize Giving in Music and Speech subjects on Sunday 25 June at the Bishop’s College Auditorium. The Chief Guests were Ambassador for Vietnam Madame Phan Kieu Thu, Trinity College London (Asia) Senior Vice President Tyler Smith and Trinity College London Lead Academic for English Language (Asia) Susan Jones. 

The National Representative Ramola Sivasundaram, her Deputy Renu Samarasinhe and the team at the Sri Lanka Centre organised a delightful evening of scintillating performances of Speech and Drama, Communication Skills, Musical Theatre, Singing and Music, on the piano, guitar, violin, cello and saxophone. 

There were several brilliant pieces of drama and music performed by the very talented candidates who had been successful at last year’s Trinity College London examinations. Nilupul Silva was awarded the highest award – a Fellowship (FTCL) from Trinity College London for violin. Her performance was extraordinary. There were several other performances both in Drama and Music which were highly commendable. 

Trinity College London is a leading examinations board providing assessments since 1877 in the Performing Arts and English Language. It conducts 800,000 assessments in 60 countries and the assessments are validated by OFQUAL the apex body which recognises assessments in the UK. In addition, 77 candidates received their Diploma Awards in Music and Speech.

The audience of parents, teachers, candidates and well wishers enjoyed the evening.
