XXV by Johann takes the stage

The much awaited fashion show ‘XXV by Johann’ is set to take the stage on Tuesday 22 October at the Hilton Colombo. This gala landmark event in the fashion industry will also be a celebration of Johann Peries’ 25 years in the industry. The show will be produced and choreographed by Lou Ching Wong and will feature some of the best known names in the fashion industry. The show will cover sections for fashion trends named Cults, Grandeur, Eras and Transitions and Showtime and will feature pieces from Lou Ching Wong, Dharshi Keethisena, Michael Wijesuriya, Purnima Abeyrathne, Chrysanthi Fernandopulle, Dhammika Amarasekera, Ruchira Karunaratne, Yolanda Aluwihare Holm, Damith Coorey and Channa Wijewardene. The specially choreographed production, will trace how fashion has changed through the ages and will embrace clothing, accessories, hairstyles, jewellery and beauty trends and body art of eras gone by. XXV by Johann will commence at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails before moving on the main show. The night is tipped to be a glamorous event and the talk of the town. Tickets for the show are priced at Rs. 4,000 and are available at cutting station Jawatte Road, Commons, Bayleaf and The Park Street Mews and at Waters Edge. The platinum sponsor of the event is Raja Jewellers, while the Gold Sponsor for XXV by Johann is Wella. The creative partner for the event is Leo Burnett Solutions Inc, while the event partner is Roshan Wijeratne of Event Productions, the host hotel is the Hilton Colombo and the Media sponsors for the event is Wijeya Newspapers and TNL Radio. The Co-sponsors of the event are Mosh, R&R, Airport Express & Sothy’s. All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the charity that Johann Peries and the Cutting Station has supported since its inception. Today the foundation is the only one of its kind that provides respite, awareness and a free helpline to Alzheimer’s patients and their families. They also have an active day care and activity centre that has made a difference not only to the lives of many patients but also to the caregivers.
