HDCC holds 20th AGM

HDCC held its 20th Annual General Meeting on 30 November and Sudantha Akmeemana, Managing Director, Thima Jewelers was elected as the President of HDCC for the year 2013/2014. The chamber said 25 others were elected to the Board of Directors and among them were three women. The members of the new Policy and Financial Committee are M. Shaheed Usuph – Immediate Past President, Sudantha Akmeemana - President, K.H. Padmalal – Senior Vice President and D.W. Upul – Vice President. At the end of the meeting, Najeeb Deen, Managing Director, Deen Brothers Imports delivered an inspirational speech to the business people in the Hambantota District.
