Cardholders of Commercial Bank of Ceylon Plc can now indulge their taste buds at favourite restaurants thanks to a promotion which offers them significant discounts at selected outlets.
From 14 February to 31 March 2011, Commercial Bank Credit and Shopping Debit Card holders will be entitled to a 25 per cent discount at the Ceylon Intercontinental’s Tandoor and Emerald restaurants, Pizza Hut, Jack Tree, Mango Tree, Barista, China Town, Marry Brown, Indian Spice and Olive Tree in Colombo and at the Royal Mall, The History and Devons Captain’s Table in Kandy.
These discounts will add to the benefits already offered by Comdeals, a programme which provides value addition to cardholders through discounts at many major retail outlets islandwide and zero per cent easy payment schemes for Credit cardholders. Commercial Bank cardholders are also entitled to participate in global promotions carried out by Visa and Mastercard.
“Credit and Shopping Debit Cards are often used by customers to make payments at restaurants and hotels, hence, this new promotion will reward our customers and make dining out even more enjoyable,” said Lakshman Perera, Head of Commercial Bank’s Card Centre.
Commercial Bank cardholders were also offered discounts at selected merchant outlets during the Christmas season. The Bank’s extensive network and consistent promotional offers have made Commercial Bank Credit and Shopping Debit cards a preferred choice of payment, Perera added.
The Commercial Bank’s operations in Sri Lanka consist of 191 branches and Supermarket Banking counters and an ATM network of 403 terminals. The Bank has been adjudged Sri Lanka’s ‘Bank of the Year’ seven times by ‘The Banker,’ ‘Best Bank in Sri Lanka’ for 12 consecutive years by ‘Global Finance’ Magazine, and the Best Bank in Sri Lanka twice by FinanceAsia. It has also been rated ‘Best Local Trade Bank’ in Sri Lanka by the UK based ‘Trade Finance’ magazine.
