The Association of Professional Bankers (APB) in collaboration with the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka launched the “Junior Bankers Career Progression and Mentoring Program for Aspiring Bankers” recently at IBSL auditorium which is specially designed and aimed at junior bankers.
APB introduced the program with the idea of providing opportunities and resources to young junior bankers to grow and succeed in their banking career. The program covers the areas of Lending, Treasury Operations, International Trade, Compliance, Risk Management, Corporate and Communication Etiquette, Remittance and Card Operations and is mentored by eminent bankers, who possess expertise and experience in related subjects.
Standard Chartered Bank Sri Lanka CEO Bingumal Thewarathanthri and Commercial Bank of Ceylon Managing Director and CEO Sanath Manatunga joined the inaugural session as guest speakers.
The first batch consists of 42 junior bankers and the program will continue until 21 January 2023.
