The annual interbank quiz competition organised by the Association of Professional Bankers Sri Lanka (APB) was held in Anuradhapura recently.
It was conducted to promote inclusivity and inspire bankers from regions beyond the capital city of Colombo. It created an ideal platform for knowledge sharing and networking among industry professionals and was well participated with 21 teams from the regions in and around Anuradhapura representing 13 Banks.
Institute of Bankers (IBSL) Former Senior Banker and Lecturer Priyantha Dematagoda mastered the quiz. The welcome speech was delivered by APB Vice President M.R.N. Rohana Kumara and the vote of thanks was delivered by APB Secretary General Anjali Goonethillake. The program was organised under the chairmanship of Isuru Jayaweera of the special events committee of APB.
Hatton National Bank emerged as the overall winners of the competition while Seylan Bank and the Commercial Bank B Team became the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.
