Arnila Thambiayah joins DFCC Board

Arnila Thambiayah has been appointed to the Board of DFCC Bank PLC as a Non-Executive, Independent Director.

She replaces the vacancy created by the retirement of her sister Shibani Thambiayah upon the completion of nine years of service as a Director of DFCC.

Arnila holds 95,432 shares in DFCC Bank, whilst is a related party to a combined holding of nearly 16 million shares held by Renuka City Hotels and Renuka Hotels Ltd., and Cargo Board Development, among other entities.

Arnila Lakshmi Thambiayah holds a BA (Hons.) in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK, and an M.Sc. in International Business and Management from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, UK.

She worked as an Executive at Keells Hotel Management and John Keells Holdings New Business Development and Group Initiatives for two and a half years.

She commenced work at Hotel Renuka and Renuka City Hotel in 2008 and is currently the Jt. Managing Director of both Renuka Hotels PLC and Renuka City Hotels PLC. She is also a Director of Cargo Boat Development Co. PLC, Renuka Consultants and Services Ltd., Renuka Properties Ltd., Lancaster Holdings Ltd., Amalgamated Theaters Ltd., and Portfolio Management Services Ltd.

With the latest appointment, the Board of DFCC Bank PLC comprises Chairman J. Durairatnam, CEO and Ex-Officio Executive Director Lakshman Silva, Deputy CEO and Executive Director N.H.T.I. Perera, P.M.B. Fernando, V.J. Seneratne, L.K.A.H. Fernando, N.K.G.K. Nemmawatta, H.A.J. De Silva Wijeyeratne, H.M.N.S. Gunawardana, N.V. Kumar, and A.L. Thambiayah
