Aroshi appointed to Sampath Bank Board

Top professional Aroshi Nanayakkara has been appointed to the Board of Sampath Bank PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

She currently serves as a Director of Siyapatha Finance PLC, Sampath Information Technology Solutions Ltd., Hela Apparel Holdings Ltd., Hela Clothing Ltd., Foundation Garments Ltd. and FDN Sourcing Ltd. and also the Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors. 

She holds a BSc. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) USA, a MSc. from the London School of Economics (LSE) UK and holds the ACMA and CGMA qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) UK. 

Aroshi is the CEO of the Global Consulting Company and a dynamic leader in the fields of Strategic Planning, HR and Risk Management having gathered extensive experience through her 20 plus years in prominent companies. 

She commenced her career as a Corporate Banker, first at ABN AMRO Bank NV and later at Deutsche Bank AG Sri Lanka. Moved from banking into HR and joined Eagle Insurance and handled Human Resource Development and Strategic Planning for the company. 

She joined the Delmege Group as Group Director Human Resource Development while also serving on the Board of Delmege Interior Décor Ltd. Chief Risk Officer of Brandix Group and overlooking the functions of internal audit and compliance and finally, as CEO of Brandix Hangers Ltd.

With the latest appointment the Board of Sampath Bank comprises of Chairman Prof. Malik Ranasinghe, Deputy Chairperson Saumya Amarasekera, Managing Director Nanda Fernando, Sanjiva Senanayake, Deepal Sooriyaarachichi, Dhara Wijayatilake, Annika Senanayake, Ranil Pathirana, Rushanka Silva, Dilip de S Wijeyeratne, Sanjiva Weerawarna and Aroshi Nanayakkara.
