A prototype of the co-branded multi-currency travel card was presented to Nawaloka Group Chairman Jayantha Darmadasa by BOC Senior DGM D.P.K. Gunasekara. Also present are CH17 Loyalty CEO/MD Jumar Preena, CBA General Secretary Chaminda Vidanagamage and CBA President Dr. D Venkateshwaran

The Colombo Business Association, which launched its island wide membership drive on 16 December, received another bonanza from Bank of Ceylon as part of its contribution towards recognising and rewarding entrepreneurs and the SME community by offering a BOC travel card for travel purposes with exclusive services and benefits for CBA Membership.

The travel card has multiple currency values such as US Dollar, Pound sterling, Euro Currency, Japanese Yen, and Aussie Dollar. This is a convenient way to take foreign currencies for overseas travel, which is safe, secure unlike taking cash. Its usage in the countries where the five currencies are the primary currency accepted, the cardholder would be saving by way of currency conversion fees and avoid fluctuating forex rates, explained Bank of Ceylon Senior DGM (International, Investment and Treasury) D.P.K. Gunasekara.

“Ch17 is pleased to extend this privileged offer to CBA Membership in recognition of the services the trading and SME business community are rendering to keep the economy on track in line with the Government economic and business policies,” CH17 CEO Jumar Preena explained.

He said that CBA Members will enjoy reduced commission for currency upload and special rates on foreign exchange, this service can be obtained from any of the BOC branches island-wide.
