CCC, IASL and Fairfirst Insurance hold webinar on insurance industry’s response to COVID-19

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) in partnership with the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) and Fairfirst Insurance will be conducting an informative webinar on the industry’s response towards the current pandemic. The objective of this webinar is to create awareness on how the insurance industry has reacted and adapted to a pandemic-ridden world, and how it is important now more than ever to have better insurance solutions.

An expert panel will come together to create awareness on matters that are related to how the insurance industry is dealing with the COVID-19 consequences. The panellists are Ceylinco General Insurance Ltd. Director (Technical)/Chief Technical Officer Dr. Jagath Alwis, Softlogic Life Chief Technical Officer Pranama Perera, Fairfirst Insurance General Manager - Underwriting, Portfolio and Reinsurance Priyantha Perera, and Orient Insurance Ltd. Senior Vice President - Technical Anuradha Siriwardane. The session will be moderated by CCC CEO Manjula de Silva. The areas of discussion will be on coverage under BI policies for the pandemic, importance of life insurance and customer services offered by life companies during the curfew period, medical insurance and health benefits under travel insurance vs. COVID-19, and customer services offered by the general insurance industry during curfew/lockdown days.
