CDB relaunches Gold Loan product

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) recently relaunched its Gold Loan product and brought forward new Unique Selling Points (USPs) to the benefit of its customers who are facing difficulties due to the current economic situation.

Resonating strongly with its ethos of being the best place to obtain Gold Loans, CDB has made the decision to not charge interest from customers for half a month for the first month from the date the Gold Loan is obtained. Accordingly, no interest will be charged if customers redeem the gold articles within fifteen days from the date of submission.

Deputy General Manager Prasad Ranasinghe said, “We have decided to provide a service with maximum confidence and security to our customers who seek this service. We will remain committed to assisting customers in obtaining the same so that they may carry out their various financial responsibilities. CDB has understood that our customers come from all walks of life, especially small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, businessmen, and self-employed women. Therefore, we decided to provide a high advance amount, minimum interest rates, and reliable service standards.”

Steps have also been taken to provide customers with an attractive advance of Rs. 165,000 per gold sovereign. CDB charges a minimum initial interest rate monthly, which may be tailored for the convenience of the customer. To provide a more efficient service, CDB’s branch network will provide Gold Loan services on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Customers who come to CDB branches to obtain a Gold Loan facility can complete their services within a short time of just three minutes. In terms of confidentiality and reliability of the transaction, CDB has set up a special service room (VIP Room) for Gold Loan services only. Accordingly, customers will be able to carry out their Gold Loan transactions without any inconvenience. Dedicated staff will ensure that the gold items are not damaged during the inspection and the company has pledged to bear full responsibility for the safe storage of the items.
