CDB wins Gold at National Business Excellence Awards for 4th consecutive year

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) triumphed with gold at the national business excellence awards in the non-banking financial institutions’ sector for the fourth consecutive year, further establishing its commitment towards business excellence and sustainability. 

The gala event held on 13 December at the Hilton Colombo was hosted by the National Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (NCCSL) for the 16th successive year.

Moving towards excellence, the organisation’s overall mechanism for economic growth and sustainability revolves around three pillars; people, planet and profit. CDB respects being environmentally responsible and socially ethical and have rooted these qualities into their core business practices, making it a way of life at CDB. Over the years the organisation has taken multiple initiatives to uplift livelihood and empower aspirations throughout their journey towards success. 



Sharing his thoughts on this glorious achievement CDB Managing Director/CEO Mahesh Nanayakkara said: “CDB was recognised for its outstanding performance under the national business excellence awards for the fourth consecutive year; this is an incredibly proud moment for my team. The award ceremony recognises business excellence under the categories of excellence in leadership, excellence in corporate governance, excellence in capacity building, excellence in performance management, excellence in local and global market-reach, excellence in corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability, excellence in business and financial results and overall business excellence. 92 awards were presented by a panel of esteemed judges in the presence of business tycoons in the country.
