Ceylon Tobacco Company appoints Amun Mustafiz as Finance Director

Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) recently announced the appointment of Amun Mustafiz to the position of Finance Director for the company, effective 1 November 2018. 

As the new Finance Director, Amun will be reporting to CTC Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Michael Koest.

Prior to assuming the current role, Amun served at British American Tobacco (BAT) Bangladesh since 2005, for over 13 years. Beginning her career as an Assistant Operations Finance Manager at BAT Bangladesh, she gradually rose to the position of the Commercial Finance Controller through sheer drive and commitment. 

During her career with BAT, she has gained rounded knowledge in multiples areas of finance including marketing finance, operations finance, corporate finance, internal audit and compliance. Furthermore, Amun has also played a pivotal role in shaping up the long-term pricing and excise strategy and operations strategy for BAT Bangladesh.

During her two-and-a-half-year tenure as the Commercial Finance Controller at British American Tobacco (BAT) Bangladesh, Amun made a tremendous contribution in steering the agenda of finance and operations through impactful initiatives, delivering outstanding business results and driving the long-term planning of operations with an innovative approach.  She played a pivotal role in integrating the finance leadership team and operations leadership team while persistently challenging the status quo.  Amun also was on an international assignment in BAT Japan, from 2015 to 2016, where she was instrumental in shaping the Global Business Solutions (GBS) ways of work in the market. 

Amun’s passion for people and culture has helped in the creation of a well-integrated, energetic and highly-developed Finance Team, in addition to inspiring the growth of many across the organisation.
