Chamber of Commerce places CDB among Ten Best Corporate Citizens for 3rd time

Citizens Development Business Finance PLC (CDB) has been recognised among the ten best corporate citizens for the third time at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2019, recently hosted by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

Sustainability being at the core of CDB’s business model, CDB has showcased its commitment in its social, environmental and economic interactions and engineering business processes to bring about long-term environmentally-friendly initiatives encompassing its stakeholders, i.e. environment, employees, customers, suppliers, community, and shareholders. The award was presented to CDB in recognition for its industry-leading sustainability initiatives.

The annual awards ceremony recognises outstanding corporate citizens for their contribution towards sustainable business practices in Sri Lanka. It encourages businesses to adopt best practices that ensure efficient use of resources, minimise pollution of the environment, and create a safe and healthy working environment, in line with the Unites Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
