Chandika appointed to NTB Board

Chandika Kushan Hettiarachchi has been appointed to the Board of Nations Trust Bank (NTB) as a Non-Executive Director. 

Hettiarachchi is a professional with over 23 years of experience in the Financial Services sector, especially in credit and leasing-related areas, which includes over 20 years at Central Finance Company PLC. He serves as an Executive Director (Director – Marketing) on the Board of Central Finance Company (CFC) since June 2018. He also serves on the Boards of three subsidiary companies of CFC; namely, CF Insurance Brokers Limited, Central Transport and Travels Ltd., and CF Growth Fund. 

Central Finance Group holds a 20% stake in NTB.

Hettiarachchi has carried out many assignments for International Development Agencies as a Consultant, including the International Finance Corporation (IFC). He is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK (ACMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants – UK. He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Wales – UK.

With the latest appointment, the Board of Directors of NTB comprises of Chairman Gihan Cooray CEO/Director Priyantha Talwatte, C.D. Souza, R. Rajapaksa, N.I.R. de Mel, S. Maheshwari, S.L. Sebastian, R.S. Cader, C.H.A.W. Wickramasuriya, A.R. Fernando, Dr. R. Shanmuganathan, and C.K. Hettiarachchi.
