Clearing Association of Bankers holds 12th AGM

The Clearing Association of Bankers (CAB) held its 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 4 October at HNB Towers, Colombo 02.

This special event was attended by Central Bank of Sri Lanka Director – Payment and Settlement K.V.K. Alwis as the Chief Guest and LankaPay Ltd. CEO Channa De Silva as the Guest of Honour.

Amongst the other distinguished guests at the occasion were members of the corporate management and the Heads of the clearing departments of commercial banks, members of the managements of sponsor companies, and members of CAB.

Prompt Xpress was the Platinum Sponsor of the event, while the Gold Sponsors were LankaPay Ltd., Lake House Publishers and Printers, Aiken Ltd., and Silver sponsors were Bank Of Ceylon, Digiscan Secure Print Solution Ltd. and Tiqri Ltd.

The Clearing Association of Bankers was formed in 2008 with the objective of enhancing the knowledge of bankers as well as to promote goodwill, understanding and fellowship amongst those engaged in clearing.

Sampath Bank’s Nalin Liyanage was elected as the President of the CAB for 2024/2025.

The 12th AGM of the CAB was a milestone event, full of glamour and colour, providing all participants with a memorable evening.
