Committing to empower entrepreneurship: Pan Asia Bank celebrates 2024 New Year

Pan Asia Bank celebrated the dawn of the 2024 New Year with Sri Lankan traditions and rituals.

Chairman Aravinda Perera and the Director/CEO Naleen Edirisinghe addressed all staff, thanking them for a remarkable year in which Pan Asia surpassed a multitude of adversities amidst challenging macroeconomic conditions and encouraged the team to deliver yet another resilient performance in the New Year. 

Chairman Aravinda Perera praised the contribution of the corporate management and all staff which supported the bank’s performance. He mentioned the importance of caring for their families and how that can lead to a balanced performance culture. Perera further stated that the country is on the right path and will see the benefits of some of the tough decisions in 2023and beyond. Also, he stressed the duty of the top corporates such as Pan Asia Bank in this journey. He encouraged the team to remain prepared to take all opportunities that arise in 2024 together, to emerge as one of the best performing banks.

CEO Naleen Edirisinghe urged all staff to rise to the nation’s call of turning around the economy to support Sri Lanka’s entrepreneurs. He underscored the team’s key achievements in terms of driving profitability for the bank despite a tough year, attributing it to hard work and dedication of all employees of the bank in achieving Pan Asia Bank’s strategy of generating greater earnings from core banking while infusing operational efficiencies. He lauded the staff’s spirit of innovation and its can-do spirit as one team to deliver this encouraging performance which sets the stage for an even stronger performance in 2024. He stated that as part of the overall strategy, the bank will continue its journey of digitisation and strengthen its brand positioning to appeal to more Sri Lankans. Also, inspiring his team, Edirisinghe urged them to pursue higher banking studies, upgrade skills and be team players.
