Dayasinghe appointed to SMB Finance Board

W. M. Dayasinghe has been appointed as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director at SMB Finance PLC.

Dayasinghe holds a Bachelors of Commerce Special degree from the University of Colombo. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka. He holds Diploma in Information System Security, Control and Audit Jointly conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Sri Lanka and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Diploma in Treasury Investment and Risk Management conducted by the Institute of the Bankers of Sri Lanka/College of Banking and Finance.

He is a banker having more than 18 years’ experience in the banking Sector in Sri Lanka.

Dayasinghe has served as General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of State Mortgage & Investment Bank for over 10 years. During that period, he has contributed as Chairman of Executive Credit Committee, Assets and liability Management Committee, Executive Integrated Risk Management Committee, Product Development Committee, Recovery Committee and Marketing Committee. He counts for over 38 years of experience in Financial Management, Banking, Audit, Risk Management, Strategic planning, Marketing, Recovery, Treasury Management and Branch Operations.

Dayasinghe has been performing as Group Chief Financial Officer of Rank Group Of Companies with effect from November 2023.

With the latest appointment the Board of Directors of SMB Finance PLC comprises of Chairman Ravi Wijeratne, CEO/Director S. Wijesinghe, M. S. A Wadood, A. T. Shardha Sosa, L. Abeysinghe and W. M. Dayasinghe.
