Epic Lanka, the pioneer in digital transformation and Fintech solutions in Sri Lanka recently joined hands with the Association of Professional Bankers (APB) as the platinum sponsor of the 31st Anniversary Convention to be held on 8 and 9 October. This will be the sixth consecutive year that Epic has partnered with APB as a platinum sponsor of the Convention.

The theme for this year is ‘Challenge of Disruptive Change – Together Towards Tomorrow’. APB President C. Amarasinghe said, “The banking industry is rapidly evolving with new trends, new technologies and continuing to reshape the future. We as bankers must work together with the IT specialists to implement the most innovative technology to drive the industry forward. We are fortunate to have Epic Lanka partnering with APB as a platinum sponsor yet again this year. I take this opportunity to thank the management of Epic Lanka for its continuous support given to APB.”

The convention will include several eminent guest speakers and panellists who will address a wide range of topics in line with the theme. Epic Lanka Managing Director and CEO Viraj Mudalige who will be one of the speakers at the event said, “It has been a pleasure for Epic to be a part of the APB Convention for the sixth consecutive year. The traditional banking model is quickly becoming obsolete and swiftly moving towards digitalisation. Being one of the most highly regulated industries in the country, we must implement digital disruption and innovation with much more responsibility. We must also take steps to inculcate a culture that gives prominence to domain expertise and knowledge assimilation.”

The official cheque handover was held at Epic Techno Village in Battaramulla recently.
