Ex-banker Hiranthi appointed to Singer Finance Board

Hiranthi Suchitra De Silva has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Singer Finance (Lanka) Plc.

Hiranthi has extensive experience in banking, having served in the industry for over 36 years. In her career spanning 27 years at Sampath Bank, she held multiple positions covering all areas relating to banking operations and credit progressing to focus on Corporate Credit and was Deputy General Manager - Corporate Credit, at the time of her resignation. She thereafter served as the Senior Vice President - Wholesale Banking at Union Bank of Colombo until her retirement in 2024.

She holds an MBA from Edith Cowen University Australia.

With the latest appointment the Board of Singer Finance (Lanka) Plc comprises Chairman Aravinda Perera, Director/CEO T.A. Amarasuriya, D.C.Talpahewa, M.H. Wijewardene, D.T.R. De Silva, K.M.S.P. Herath, D.D.W. Siriwardene and H.S. De Silva.
