Expert views on managing cash flow management in challenging times

Finance and banking industry experts will meet to discuss strategies to manage cash flow in challenging times, at a seminar organised by Acclivity Training on 22 July from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at the CIMA Auditorium in Colombo. 

A spokesperson from Acclivity Training said that there are many measures a business can adopt to manage and even grow in tough times. Frequent analysis of the financial position of a business, revisiting plans and implementation of sound risk management strategies are essential as is stringent management of cash flow.

This session will cover the use indicators used for analysing the health of a business and ways to improve cash flow, including forecasting, and improved management of working capital. Sources of external finance and improving access to such finance will be discussed. Also on the seminar’s agenda are risk management strategies that are of particular importance in challenging times. 

Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC CFO Nandika Buddhipala will deliver the keynote address. BDO Partners Managing Partner Sujeewa Rajapakse, Sampath Bank PLC Senior Deputy General Manager Tharaka Ranwala, Lalith Yatiwella Director Finance Lalith Yatiwella, Brandix Apparel Ltd. Group Risk and Control Senior General Manager Suranga Indunil are the panellists and Chartered Accountant Harsha Gunasena will moderate the session.

The seminar is supported by AMCHAM, CIMA, Association of Human Resources Professionals (HRP) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ICC. Over 100 participants comprising corporate leaders and executives are expected to attend this seminar.
