FriMi, powered by Nations Trust Bank proudly joins hands with Mobitel – among the foremost mobile service providers in Sri Lanka. This partnership marks Mobitel as the first mobile operator to enable its monthly bills in real-time, via FriMi’s Bill Presentment service.

In order to get on board with FriMi’s latest feature, customers have to register via the FriMi app just by entering their Mobitel number. This service is provided for mobile, voice and broadband connections. It’s important to note, that to register, the connection should be registered under the customer’s NIC number. Once the one-time registration is completed, the customer is directed to a user-friendly platform which displays the outstanding amount and the last bill cycle in real-time. The customer can thereafter proceed to make whichever bill payment they prefer within a few clicks anytime from anywhere, without needing to wait on any physical bill or e-bill. What makes this more desirable is that, bill processing will only take customers two steps and it does not require any debit card or credit card information like other online applications.

FriMi Digital Bank Head Nazeem Mohamed sees exciting opportunities for this partnership with Mobitel. He said, “As a nation, we are moving forward and whilst our knowledge expands every day, we guarantee the convenience of e-commerce. Expanding FriMi’s Bill Presentment service to Mobitel, will allow its customers the ease and relief during transactions of payments. We strive on bringing a greater value to our customers, and not just through the banking forum. It’s evidential that partnering with Mobitel, we intend on providing stress free solutions for other non-banking transactions through our FriMi App.”

What is more, the customer can view the last three transactions of their Mobitel connection via the FriMi App with a list of all previous FriMi transactions within a history tab following this integration. Furthermore, customers can continue to reload their Mobitel prepaid connections whilst allowing any other FriMi user to settle bills using their own FriMi App. It is in fact much more than mainstream banking.

Sales and Channel Development Senior General Manager Chandika Vitharana said, “With the strategy of value innovation, we are bringing our customers a cashless and paperless future forward payment method with FriMi. We believe that technology alone is meaningless and requires strategic drivers to achieve its optimal result. Therefore, partnering with FriMi will help us create superior customer satisfaction and value.”

With dynamic technological advancements in innovation, FriMi, a fully-fledged bank account continues to dominate the digital banking industry with ground-breaking products and services that are designed and developed to delight customers thus providing novel experiences.
