Governor moves to establish Northern Co-Operative Development Bank

Northern Province Governor Dr. Suren Raghavan is keen to establish Northern Co-Operative Development Bank (NCDB).

According to the Governor’s vision to develop the Northern Province economically, the initial steps are being taken to establish the NCDB.

The consultations regarding establishing this Co-Operative Development Bank are currently being received from Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajith Coomaraswamy, Dr. Akhilan Kadirgamar, and other relevant experts. The Governor also stated that he expects to establish this bank officially in the Northern Province soon.

He expects 1.3 million people will benefit through this bank in the Northern Province.
