HDFC Bank recognised at CA Annual Report Awards 2021

HDFC Bank won the Bronze award in the State Banks category at the prestigious Annual Reports Awards organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) 

The CA Award has been known to promote transparency, corporate governance, sustainability and social responsibility, reflecting effectiveness in communication of financial and non-financial information to stakeholders and strict compliance with legislative requirements and accepted accounting best practices.

This award is an endorsement of the HDFC bank’s reporting and communicating capabilities and good governance. The bank successfully presented its sustainability report in the bank's Annual Report for 2020 with an integrated view of the company’s performance through its financial, economic, social and environmental facets. HDFC Bank has greatly contributed towards empowering socio-economic standards of rural and low-income masses, greatly assisting to improve their quality of life by cascading the hope of permanent shelter through housing finance.

HDFC Bank CEO/GM Palitha Gamage, commenting on the recognition, said that this award will contribute immensely to enhancing the trust placed by the bank’s depositors in the stability of the bank and shareholders on the reliability of information disclosed. He thanked the institute for organising the event and for the objective evaluations done.

HDFC Bank has over three decades of experience and expertise in the housing finance sector. Its core business is providing home loans for the low and middle-income segments. Today, the key activities of HDFC Bank, besides housing finance, are leasing, deposits, business loans, educational loans, pawning savings and deposits. It caters to various population segments with different financial requirements.
