HNB General Insurance honours top sales performers at Sales Convention 2024

Best Salesperson K.M.S.M. Kumara with senior officials from HNB General Insurance

HNB General Insurance recently celebrated the exceptional achievements of its sales force at the 2023 Sales Convention, held at Hotel Grandeeza, Negombo.

The event was graced by HNB General Insurance Ltd. (HNBGI) and HNB Assurance PLC (HNBA) Chairman Stuart Chapman, along with the Board of Directors, CEOs of HNBGI and HNBA, EXCO Members, Corporate Management, and members representing sales distribution.

The gala, themed ‘Innovate and Elevate,’ featured glamour and entertainment, paying tribute to the outstanding performance of the company’s top sales professionals. “Our continued success and leadership in the industry is a result of the commitment and high performance of our sales force. This event is a celebration of their dedication and resilience, especially in challenging times,” said HNB General Insurance CEO Sithumina Jayasundara.

Our sales force continues to set the bar high,” added HNB General Insurance Chief Business Officer/General Manager Sampath Wickramarachchi.

The awards covered multiple channels/units, including agency, bancassurance, corporate, broker, direct, Takaful business and leasing. Under the Medal Awards, individuals were honoured across Super Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers, while Zonal Awards recognised top performers across the branch network. North Western Zone 02 was recognised as National Best Zone, Ambalangoda won as National Best Cluster and Negombo branch earned the National Best Branch. Nine agents were inducted into the prestigious Platinum Club for exceptional sales performance.

The highlight of the evening was the National Awards, recognising top performers across categories. K.M.S.M. Kumara was honoured as the Best Salesperson, S.L. Amarasinghe as the Best Freelance Sales Officer (Corporate and Takaful), M. Dilshan Manuel as the Best Sales Person (Broker Business), and P.P.S.S. Dias as the Best Sales Manager (Corporate and Takaful). The Gampaha and Panadura branches were secured the most awards, with the National Best Agent also hailing from Gampaha Branch.
