HSBC Asia Pacific Group GM and Head of Intl. and Strategy and Planning in SL

Matthew Lobner, Group General Manager, Head of International Asia-Pacific and Head of Strategy and Planning for Asia-Pacific will be in Sri Lanka on 21 and 22 January. During his visit he will take the opportunity to engage in conversations with both HSBC Sri Lanka customers and employees.

Lobner has direct responsibility for 10 international markets in Asia, comprising Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Mauritius, New Zealand, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Maldives, Thailand, and Vietnam.In this capacity, he is responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation of Group strategy in these markets. He is also responsible for Strategy and Planning across all countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Lobner joined the HSBC Group in 2005 from McKinsey & Company and has worked in various roles in the US, UK and Asia.More recent appointments include Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy and Planning in Europe as well as Global Head of Strategy for Commercial Banking.
