IFAC President meets Prime Minister

International Federation of Accountants President Rachel Grimes, who was in Sri Lanka last week, met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees. During the meeting, matters pertaining to the development of the accounting profession, as well as the role played by the three local accounting bodies - CA Sri Lanka, CMA Sri Lanka, and AAT Sri Lanka - in further strengthening the profession, were discussed at length. 

CA Sri Lanka President Jagath Perera, Vice President Manil Jayesinghe, CMA Sri Lanka President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala, AAT Sri Lanka President Jazri Magdon Ismail, as well as several other officials, and NHRDC Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody were also present at the meeting.
