Top tech entrepreneur and professional Jayomi Lokuliyana has been appointed as a Non -Executive Independent Director at Citizens Development Business Finance (CDB) with effect from 1 April 2024.
Jayomi, is the Founder and CEO zMessenger – Sri Lanka’s leading marketing technology solutions company providing a broad range of solutions in omni channel engagement and digital advertising technology to serve connected customers.
She pioneered the concept of mobile marketing in 2003 and played a pivotal role in shaping the mobile marketing industry in the country. Jayomi has led zMessenger to emerge as one of the country's most innovative companies. zMessenger has won several international and national accolades including, APAC Media Festival Gold Award, South Asia’s Best Digital Marketing and Social Media Company Award, SLT Zero One Digital Excellence Award, Best use of Mobile in Emergency Award in GSM Awards Cannes, France.
Jayomi was recognised as Ernest & Young Entrepreneurial Winning Women Asia Pacific 2019, Campaign Asia 2020 Women to Watch and she was honoured with the Entrepreneur of the Year at Top 50 Professional and Businesswomen Awards 2018, Women Icon Award Asia in Singapore 2017.
In 2015, Jayomi was honoured under the large-scale enterprise – Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce Sri Lanka and in 2016 as South Asia’s Best Female Entrepreneur of the Year by South Asian Business Partnership Awards.
She served as the Chairperson for the Women’s Chamber for Digital Sri Lanka, Ministry of Digital Infrastructure and Information Technology, Core Committee Member of National Agenda Committee for Digital Economy and Women Advisory Council Member for Skill Development Council.
She is an alumnus of Singapore Management University. Melbourne Business School and Post graduate institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Ceylinco Life Insurance owns 40% stake in CDB whilst Janashakthi Insurance owns 19.8%.
