KPMG Academy will hold an insightful webinar titled “Unraveling the Mystiques of Tax

Appeals,” on 29 January from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

This exclusive event aims to demystify the intricacies of the tax appellate procedure in Sri Lanka, providing valuable insights for both taxpayers and tax authorities.

Led by esteemed Guest Speaker Dr. K. Kanag-Isvaran, President’s Counsel, the webinar will delve into the nuances of tax appeals under various statutes, including the Inland Revenue Act (Old and New), Value Added Tax Act, and Social Security Contribution Levy Act. Dr. Kanag-Isvaran will share observations on the challenges, opportunities, rights of taxpayers, and practical considerations involved in handling tax appeals.
