01 03KPMG in Sri Lanka has been ranked among the ‘Most Respected’ entities in the country for the fourth consecutive year and has been once again recognised as a winner in the financial services sector, in the 13th annual edition of LMD’s rankings published by Media Services.

Commenting on this achievement, the firm’s Managing Partner Reyaz Mihular stated: “I am extremely proud to be the head of one of Sri Lanka’s most admired entities which celebrates 120 years of service to the business community of this country. This is especially highlighted by the fact that there are not many professional service firms that could claim to have operated so efficiently over such a long period of time.”

KPMG is considered one of Sri Lanka’s most respected entities, directly attributable to its values of acting with integrity which is something the firm holds very sacred. Entering the rankings first in 2009, KPMG has since been ranked for four consecutive years moving from 119th in 2014, 63rd in 2015 and 2016 to 59th in 2017.

The survey, commissioned and conceptualised by LMD and conducted by Nielsen, captures the opinions of 800 managers from listed companies, the LMD 100 (2015/16) and Brand Annual (2016). The firm, which celebrates its 120th anniversary this year, has established itself as a professional, ethical and forward-looking entity with a high performing culture, spearheading the sector with its benchmark practices.

“In recent times we have accelerated the pace at which we are innovating and investing across the firm. We believe it has never been more important that we offer a full range of professional services, combined with deep sector expertise and innovative thinking,” says Reyaz. The firm has also received a number of accolades recently, including the ‘Tax Firm of the Year’ and ‘Tax Disputes and Litigation Firm of the Year’ by the ‘International Tax Review’ at the Asia Tax Awards 2017 and ‘Best Advisory Firm in Sri Lanka – 2016’ by the International Finance Magazine (IMF), all of which highlight the significant impact the firm is making in the marketplace.
