PMG Sri Lanka Academy has organised a webinar on ‘Tax Compliance Rules, Penal Provisions & Tax Risk Management Techniques’ on 29 October (Friday) at 3 p.m. This will be the 29th session under the KPMG Friday Mid Afternoon Chat series.

Being aware of the tax compliance rules and procedures will enable every citizen to follow the tax laws properly without being exposed to any legal consequences. Tax compliance not only includes the lodgment of returns and payments of taxes, but extends to proper registration at appropriate times, preparation of tax accounts as per the provisions of the law, maintenance and submission of documents and exercising the rights of the taxpayers.

Further the session will also, set out the penalties for the non-compliance of each compliance rule and the remedies available to avoid and overcome penalties. Also this webinar will enlighten the participants on the Importance of Tax Risk Management Techniques (TRMT) during COVID-19 pandemic and the digitisation of tax procedures in addition to the general TRMT.
