Kalupahana appointed to Softlogic Finance Board

Chandrasiri Kalupahana has been appointed to the Board of Softlogic Finance PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director. 

Kalupahana is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and has received training from KPMG Sri Lanka. He possesses over 35 years of experience, 18 of which are at a Senior Corporate level. He is also a member/fellow member of several other professional bodies.

He has been a Governing Council Member and the Chairman of Business School of CA Sri Lanka. Presently; he is serving as an Executive Council Member for the Organisation of Professional Associations (OPA) and working as a consultant for a Group of Companies.

Kalupahana has worked as the General Manager at three regulated companies in Sri Lanka, Tanzania (East Africa) and Angola (West Africa).

He worked as a Group Chief Internal Auditor and Chief Officer; Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Departments of Sri Lanka Telecom Group of Companies (SLT).

Immediately prior to joining SLT, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Regional Development Bank. He has also worked at Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC and Lanka Hospitals Diagnostics Ltd. as an Independent, Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit committees and related party transactions committees of both companies.

Kalupahana received extensive training in Sri Lanka and overseas in the fields of banking, finance, auditing and telecommunications.

With the latest appointment the Board of Directors of Softlogic Finance PLC comprises D.P. Renganathan (Chairman), R.J. Perera, H.K. Kaimal, T.P. Wanigasekara, H.S.S. Dabare, and C. Kalupahana.
