Kingsley Bernard ends long stint at Bimputh Finance

Kingsley Bernard has stepped down as Chairman of Bimputh Finance Plc from last week ending a long tenure with the company in many ways from the inception.



He served as Chairman for two years from January 2016 to 1 January 2018. His association with Bimputh was since its inception in 2008 where he was a founder member of the Board and held the position of CEO of the company for almost six years.

Bernard is currently serving as a full-time academic at the SLIIT-Faculty of Business as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Information Management, a position held since 2014. Controlling interest of Bimputh Finance is held by Daya Group and related parties. Following the resignation, the Board of Bimputh Finance Plc comprises of Chamindra Gamage (Deputy Chairman and Acting CEO), A. Hemachandra, S.A. Godamunne, S.A.S. Jayasundara, K.P.C.S. Piyatillake and P.M.K. Gamage.
