Kusal new Deputy MD at Alliance Finance

Kusal Jayawardana has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director of Alliance Finance Company PLC with effect from 1 March and prior to his new appointment he served on the Board of AFC as the Executive Director Finance and Operations since 2018.

Jayawardana is a CFA charterholder and also holds an MBA from the Open University of Sri Lanka in collaboration with Commonwealth of Learning, Canada. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), UK and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) 2012 and was also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. He has considerable experience in the finance sector and has served in several Senior Management positions. His career spans over 20 years in financial services at the NDB Group Capital Markets Cluster, ICICI Bank Colombo and Liege Capital Partners Ltd.

During this period, he has served as a Director of several listed and private Companies. He was also the Managing Director/CEO of NDB Capital Ltd., Bangladesh from 2009-2012 and gained invaluable experience and exposure doing business overseas. Currently he serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Integrated Reporting Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
