LCB Finance expands to Akuressa

The 12th branch of Lanka Credit and Business Finance PLC was declared open in Akuressa amidst a gathering of distinguished invitees and prospective customers. This is its eighth branch established in the Southern Province. 

CEO/Executive Director K.G. Leelananda stated that their ambitious business development and expansion plan includes, opening of 10 new branches to reach a network of 22 branches island-wide, before the end of the year 2022. They anticipate developing the savings habit among the general public in the catchment area of the branch, marketing their deposit products such as “Podiththa” for kids, “Regini” for ladies, “Sihina” investment savings accounts, a product to save for the future, “Suwa Divi” for the elders, and fixed deposit accounts to meet specific terms of clients.

Through this branch the company expects to cater to the financial needs by way of loans, lease finance and gold loans as suitable to those involved in large- and small-scale agricultural activities such as tea, cinnamon, spices and other agricultural produce. They intend providing working capital loans to either commence viable self-employed ventures or develop existing such small and medium enterprises (SMEs) contributing towards uplifting the living conditions of such entrepreneurs and also make available consumer loans to plantation sector employees, whilst building a healthy business relationship with the business community at Akuressa. 

Leelananda also expects to focus on providing financial services to the co-operative sector, CBOs MPCS by way of short- and medium-term credit, enabling them to meet the credit requirements of their member societies. The company is also providing a service, with the consent of their customers, to transmit to their mobile phones real time account operations through SMS. Leelananda stated that opening a branch at Akuressa is another step to remain the most committed financier to the rural development.
