LOLC Finance has announced the successful launch of two new branches, enhancing financial inclusion to northern communities. 

The northern region of Sri Lanka, thrives on livelihoods primarily revolving around farming, fishing, small businesses, and wage labour. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are at the heart of this economic landscape, engaged in activities such as wholesale and retail trade, agrochemical distribution, hardware and furniture sales, local product procurement, and fish farming. 

This strategic expansion signifies a substantial step forward in the company’s mission to promote economic growth in the region through pioneering innovation while enhancing digital access. The new branches will now provide the local community with a wide array of financial products and services, including lending, savings and deposits, micro-finance, pawning, Islamic finance, digital facilities and many more.

Chavakachcheri branch: The Chavakachcheri branch, which officially opened its doors on 6 September, marked a significant moment for LOLC Finance. The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of LOLC Finance Chairman Conrad Dias, Chief Operating Officer Montini Warnakula, and Head of Channels Prasanna Karadagolla, along with other dignitaries from LOLC and the local community, patrons, and well-wishers. This event celebrated the institution’s dedication to inclusivity and its mission to serve all communities.

Nannattan branch: LOLC Finance continued its expansion by launching another new branch in Post Office Road, Moddakkadai, Nanattan on 7 September. The event saw the participation of the same dignitaries mentioned earlier, joined by members of the local community, loyal patrons, staff, and well-wishers.
