MBSL Insurance expands distribution network

MBSL Insurance expanded its branch network by opening a new branch in Mahiyanganaya. The company aims to expand its national reach whilst catering to the insurance needs of the local communities it serves. The new branch is located at No. 201, Padiyathalawa Road, Mahiyanganaya. 

MBSL Insurance strives to provide the highest service standards with a total spectrum of protection through its motor and non-motor General Insurance products. 

The branch opening was attended by MBSL Insurance Chairman D.P.K. Gunasekera, Chief Executive Officer Rukman Weeraratne, Chief Financial Officer Indika Perera, Bank of Ceylon AGM I.K. Navarathna and management members of MBSL Insurance and Bank of Ceylon. The branch opening ceremony was carried out with great success and saw the participation of the local business community, the leader of the Dambana indigenous community Wannila Aththo and the general public. 

Several speeches were given by the dignitaries of the event. Chief Guest, MBSL Insurance Chairman D.P.K. Gunasekera stated, “The objective of our new branch in Mahiyanganaya is to expand our distribution network whilst providing customers with continuous service enhancements. MBSL Insurance is fully equipped with an attractive product portfolio and efficient service standards to serve the people of Mahiyanganaya. Through this expansion, we hope to increase job opportunities in the local area and contribute to the development of the local economy.” Bank of Ceylon AGM I.K. Navarathna addressed the gathering and stated, “I am happy to state that MBSL Insurance as a member of the Bank of Ceylon group is seeing rapid growth. Bank of Ceylon, being a pioneer bank in the country and the local community greatly understands the needs of the people. Therefore we believe that the protection provided by MBSL Insurance to the people of Mahiyanganaya will be of significant importance.”

MBSL Insurance Head of Distribution Sajeewa Chandrasena also addressed the gathering and emphasised the significance of the company’s current expansion efforts. He also spoke on the company’s newest Motor Insurance product, ‘3 Option Motor Insurance’. He stated that the new 3 Option Motor Insurance caters to all customers across the board and lets them choose between 3 unique motor insurance package options to best fit their individual needs and budget. 

The leader of the Dambana indigenous community Wannila Aththo congratulated the new branch opening and thanked the MBSL Insurance Management for opening the new branch in Mahiyanganaya despite the challenging times in the country. He also called upon the Mahiyanganaya general public to come and utilise the services of the new branch.
