NDB Investment Banking Group crowned winners of CSE Masterminds 2019

NDB Investment Banking Group (NDBIB Group) emerged victorious at ‘CSE Masterminds 2019’, the most coveted capital market industry annual quiz competition in Sri Lanka, organised by the Colombo Stock Exchange. The event was held at the Water’s Edge Hotel, Colombo on 5 November. DFCC Bank and Commercial Bank of Ceylon clinched the first and second runner up titles respectively. 

The intensely competitive quiz witnessed the participation of 58 teams representing top-tier corporates from Banking and Finance, Stockbroking, Insurance, Professional Services, Technology and Diversified sectors. The competition covered a wide array of global and local knowledge areas including capital markets, business, economics, sports and entertainment. NDBIB Group in a spectacular display of its team strength, gained the lead in the first round and remained on top throughout the seven rounds in the competition to win convincingly.

NDB Investment Banking team comprised Nilendra Weerasinghe, CFA (Head-Corporate Advisory), Viraj Wijesinghe, CFA (Vice President), Vindya Jayasekera, CFA (Vice President) and Bimanee Meepagala (Vice President). The team collectively possesses over 50 years of cumulative experience in capital markets with diverse skill sets ranging from capital raising, M&As, corporate restructuring, portfolio management, etc. and was a true reflection of the in-house diverse expertise of NDB Investment Banking Group.
